Obituary for Charles Howard Gatewood Sr.

Charles Howard Gatewood Sr., 67, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas died June 27, 2017 in Siloam Springs. He was born in Sedan, Kansas on December 21, 1949 to Tom and Rosie (Philpott) Gatewood. He was married to his wife Bette Gatewood on October 26, 1984. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy Gatewood.
Mr. Gatewood is survived by his wife, Bette Gatewood of Siloam Springs; one son, Charles Gatewood Jr. and wife Michelle of Colcord, OK; two step-sons, Jeffery Clarenson and wife Cathy of Siloam Springs, Dean Clarenson Jr. and wife Gail of Siloam Springs; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers Calvin Gatewood of Tahlequah, OK, Rod Gatewood of West Siloam Springs, June Gatewood of Tennessee; sisters Linda Bradley of Gentry, Rosa Lee West of Jay, OK and Marilyn Sawney of Stillwell, Oklahoma.
Charles loved fishing, working on mowers, playing the guitar and dancing with his wife when they were younger. He was a loving husband, father and Grandpa Charlie. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
