Much thanks for sharing of your mother's recipe. I will make it on March 18th, my mother's birthday. She passed in 1982; I was only 24. Too young to understand the true meaning of 'mother'. Her younger brother, my Uncle Bobby, is traveling with his family from TN to Kansas and will be passing through on that day. He turned 80, last October, and has truly lived a full life. I was fortunate to have a large family, my mother, one of 17 born, of which 11 lived to adulthood. Each married, with children. My father, who died when I was 31, was one of 8, each of those married, with children. 51 first cousins, and too many to count 5 generations deep now. But my grandmother lived to 96, and she was full of country wisdom, and a true southern lady. I still have 6 aunts and uncles, and 5 of the spouses, still alive. Oldest turns 97 in April, and the youngest, turns 54. I share this with you, since you were kind enough to share yours, and mine comes with a comment. How joyous for you to have shared so many times past with your mother. The world needs more longevity, so that great times and cherished wisdom can be had. Without so much love of family, I doubt I would have survived my life. Tho it was a blessed one! Prayers to you all, of comfort and grace. Kelly
